This Sunday 17th The Rt. Rev. Susan B. Haynes, Bishop will officiate our Easter Day service, along with The Rev. Canon Roy Hoffman.   These Holy Week and Easter Day services will be very special this year and having both the Bishop and the Canon here is a FIRST for Christ Church.  We hope to see EVERYONE this Sunday.  The Bishop will receive and reaffirm our candidates.  A reception will follow immediately after the service.

From Leigh Leaman:

Thursday May 12, 2022

The Smithfield Blood is quickly approaching and Christ Episcopal needs your help to serve the donors who will be helping ensure our blood supply!

The Drive is from 12-6 in the Fellowship Hall of TUMC. Four volunteers are needed from 11:30 to approx 6:30. The time has been split into two 3.5 shifts.

I have a signup sheet online where you can add your name & email to keep it simple.  If you are able to help with either of the 3.5 hr slots, please indicate which along with your email.

We are also able to provide a little better selection of food this time around as restrictions ease! If you can not help that day onsite but are able to make some cookie, brownie, cupcakes, or any other small snack, please note in the "CANTEEN" list.

Open Mic Night is this Friday 15th from 7-9 in the Parish Hall.  All donations will be used for outreach ministries here and abroad.

Sundays at Four will present the Piano Trio on Sunday, April 24th at 4:00.  It should be a lovely concert.

Please be gathering your information and pictures for our next newsletter.   We hope to get this out by the first part of May, so try to have everything in to Martha Underwood by April 25th.

Mary Cole is slowly recuperating at home alone.  Please keep her in your prayers, and phone calls are welcomed.

I hope everyone has a beautiful and blessed Easter weekend!  I will be off on Tuesday and Wednesday next week and back next Thursday.

Peace to all!
