Martha’s Table consists of a group of ladies who take meals to parishioners who have had surgery, an illness, or an accident and live alone, unable to cook for themselves.  This is for short-term (2-3 weeks) help.  When this began years ago, I had 23 on the MT list, but now we have only 7 volunteers.  The current volunteers are Joanne Willis, Demere Bates, Donna Stanton, Susan Cooper, Pretlow Pacheco, Betty Dubinsky, and myself.  If anyone would like to join Martha’s Table, please let me know, either by phone (757-357-2826) or email (cecadmin@christchurchsmithfield.org).  Men are welcome to join, too! 

Please keep Annamaria Pencola in your prayers for healing.  She fell last week and broke 3 ribs, one of which was broken in 2 places.  She is home letting her ribs mend for the next 2-3 weeks.  Five of us from Martha’s Table will be taking meals twice a week from June 1st through June 15^th. 

Next Wednesday 31^st, I will be working from 11:00 – 3:00 pm because Terminix can only come during the 12:15 – 1:15 timeframe.  Works out fine since I have a 3 pm meeting.
