Breathe on me Breath of God

Dear Friends:
In this season of Advent, I send you my greetings as we expect the Christmas
Child. Soon we will be celebrating Christmas. God is good all the time, and
we are fortunate and grateful to be celebrating worship again in our beautiful
Christ Episcopal Church sanctuary.
I am especially grateful to those who have given me such a warm welcome in
my first three Sundays here. Again, I want to say how very warmly received
I have felt by so many of you in this parish church.
As we approach Christmas, I urge all of us to say our prayers, and check out
our local gym or YMCA. Get lots of exercise, especially after our holiday
celebrations and family gatherings. Use every part of our bodies (A body in
motion stays in motion), taking deep breaths, being inspired by God’s Holy
RUACH (“Breathe on me Breath of God; fill me with life anew”), and
celebrating God’s Gift of Life.
I extend my Christmas prayers to all of you. You are a treasure to
Christ Church.
May our Savior Jesus melt our hearts as we wait and watch for Him this holy
season of Advent. If I could give you all a simple bookmark for your Advent
reading, it would say: Be very quiet; it’s Advent.
Peace and Joy to all and many, many blessings in the coming New Year.
